Barbican Piano Lift
/...Tried to lift it, couldn't even shift it...
Marble partnered with TAIT to design and engineer the pneumatic scissor lift for taking grand pianos to the main stage as part of the refurbishment of this prestigious venue. We also designed and CAD modelled the welded structure and external panels for the gold cube including managing the fabrication.
Engineering Design & Specification
Not as elegant as the gold cube that appears on stage but the scissor jack certainly does the heavy lifting. Marble took TAITS design from concept to install in the theatre.
